MCDASTSIC exisit to reflect the ‘voice’ of the First Nation peoples in order to bring knowledge and understanding into the community and established services, while simultaneously leading and educating services on appropriate indigenous engagement and galvanizing unity throughout the different sectors.

ABOUT US
MCDASTIC is a mob dedicated to empowering Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities across Australia. We are a community-led initiative that believes in self-determination, offering a supportive space where every voice matters.
What started as a support network in 2015, we spent our free time supporting First Nations families find the right support they needed for their life circumstances. We did this off our back, receiving our first round of funding in 2021. From there we have gone from strength to strength with a growing team who have a heart to see our mob thrive. Our approach is rooted in love. We walk alongside individuals and families, providing counseling, education, and prioritising child safety. Our commitment extends to breaking barriers, building strong and safe families, and fostering resilient individuals. We are a steadfast support system for those facing challenging life circumstances, and a space to empower and encourage our existing and future generations.
With a focus on inclusivity, we provide NDIS support, facilitate referral processes, and ensure awareness of available services within our community. As an organisation, we bridge gaps, working tirelessly to address the missing elements within the systems.
Our impact is not confined to a specific region; we reach across Australia, with a special connection to Butchulla Country. We celebrate the rich Butchulla culture and collaborate with local mob to support, and empower. Our target audience includes all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families, elders, young adults, and children. Together, we envision and actively work towards a future where every individual and community thrives.
We believe the Lord's hands hold us up in our mission, and together we thrive.
